Modern Warfare MMO

A co-worker of mine pointed out a very interesting sentence during the Activision-Blizzard Q4 09 Earnings Call.
Start from the mouth of the Bobby Kotick, CEO of the company:
The only product that Activision-Blizzard has with a subscription base is “World Of Warcraft”. If he is implying that the MW Series is going in that direction, I’d take that as a guarantee that future installations of Modern Warfare will be in the MMO genre.
This also coincides with the company’s new multiplayer interface “Battle.net”. This platform has been “revamped” for the release of Starcraft 2, but its redesign and update definitely compliment a Modern Warfare MMO release.
Any thoughts?
Thanks to “JDENVER” for this tip.

The bad thing about games you have to pay monthly for to play such as world of warcraft is can you mae the game interesting enough to where people are going to play the game long-term? If you can then it could be very successful. I know Modern Warfare has a rather large fan base, many people find the game entertaining but you definitely need to analyze and do research as to whether people would be interested in paying monthly.
