It looks like Microsoft is going for a uniform look between all of its OS’s. The new Xbox 360 Dashboard looks very similar to the Windows Phone 7 Metro Interface, which is also being used in Windows 8: be warned, there are many rectangles with white text in your future!

I personally like the new aesthetic. It’s seems easy to navigate.
