Recently, we covered the news that Microsoft has partnered with 40 different service provides–including AT&T, HBO, and Verizon Fios–to provide program streaming on Xbox Live.

Now, Kotaku and Giant Bomb report that since Uverse is transitioning to Xbox Live, and you need a paid subscription in order to stream on Live, AT&T will give Uverse subscribers a $60 credit on their bills to cover the cost of an Xbox Live Gold Subscription! You’ll have to buy the Gold Subscription first, and afterwards you’re reimbursed, but that’s still pretty awesome of the company to do.

I wonder if Verizon Fios and other companies will do something similar. *cough* Optimum *cough*
