It’s great to watch the actor who obviously influenced the Uncharted series sit down and see what his work has helped create.

Who would you like to see play a game they influenced?

Today, Capcom released a few more details on the upcoming Devil May Cry HD collection, which include Devil May Cry 1, 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Special Edition; the third game’s special edition had a new recurring enemy and gave players the ability to play as Virgil, Dante’s brother.

Of course, the first difference with the new release is the updated graphics. It isn’t mind-blowingly upgraded, but the textures are noticeably sharper and cleaner than the PS2 version.

You can really tell the upgrade in the resolution when you compare the PS2 versions with the HD Collection:

Hopefully the framerate is silkly smooth as well.

In addition to improved graphics,the game will also include new bonus content though it wasn’t revealed exactly what the content will be (online multiplayer of some kind, maybe? Co-op at least?). The HD Collection will also support Trophies and Achievements on the PS3 and Xbox 360 respectively.

The game will be released sometime in early 2012 for $39.99. Considering that you’re getting 2 spectacular games and 1 “meh” game (Devil May Cry 2 is largely considered to be inferior to the other two games, with reason), $39.99 is a steal.

Of course, being the thrifty gamers that we are here at Wrixel, if we run across any deals for the HD Collection, we’ll certainly pass it on to you.

Moments ago, Naughty Dog tweeted that the game is complete: “#Uncharted3 has gone gold! We’re only three short weeks away from Drake’s latest adventure. Full details here: bit.ly/nckjX6″

The link leads to an official announcement that the game will enter manufacturing for its November 1st release. Naughty Dog also took the opportunity to announce 2 bonuses for retail copies of Uncharted 3:

1) A voucher for early access into the Starhawk Public Beta, which starts in 2012 and

2) 3 Behind the Scenes videos included on the game’s disc.

I can’t wait to play the next Uncharted game! Naughty Dog creates some of the most polished games in the industry. I’m also curious to know what the “Deception” in the title refers to.

What are you thoughts on the game’s theme of “deception,” and are you excited for the release?

According to Game Informer, Bloodbath Arena will cost you $10 if you didn’t preorder a copy of the original game from Gamestop. In addition to a new weapon called the Brain Bomb (I wonder what that does . . .), gamers will have access to four new areas as well as the ability to import whatever experience and items you earn into the main game.

According to Eurogamer, you’ll be able to play as eitther a Tactical Marine, a Devastator, or an Assault class. An interesting features is that you’ll be able to use the perks you unlocked in competitive multiplayer in the DLC to crush some skulls.

I REALLY enjoyed the base game, and I’m excited to play this DLC with some buddies. However, Relic Entertainment is planning even more DLC, some of it free, some of it paid; here’s hoping for a continutation of the main campaign, or maybe even a prologue.

In this episode, we finally earn a new buggy…. but there is a catch. I need to get part for it. Guess where the parts are? In a lair of a bunch of bandits….yup this episode is Jammed packed with action and gun fights!
